Laser printers
Laser
printers have become the industry standard for speed and reliance. Because
of the nature of lasers, images can be transferred onto paper at an
alarming rate, whereas an inkjet printer can only lurch as quickly as
the information is given, which may include pauses as the printer waits
for more data.
Why choose laser printers over inkjet?
• Able to process information faster than inkjet
• Print entire pages at a time, rather than sections
• More precise images
• Toner cartridges last longer than ink
For the past 30 years, laser printers have made it possible to keep
up in demanding office environments. The first commercial printer was
made by IBM and was used for printing documents like invoices and mailing
labels. Like computers in those days, these printers were so big that
they could fill a room.
