Laser printer toner
Laser printer toner is different from ink in that it is a powder heated
to bond with paper. The heated powder then takes the shape of images
or words to produce words or images, whereas ink is just sprayed on
paper to create images.
Laser printer toner has several advantages over inkjet, including:
• Toner lasts longer (average over 2000 sheets per cartridge)
• Won’t smear as easily
• Higher resolution images
• Better value for the price
Laser printer toner is reported to cause some health risks in certain
cases. Due to the small size of the particles, they can settle in the
air in a printer-heavy environment much like dust. Breathing the particles
can have adverse effects on people with asthma or bronchitis.
